Picture North’s Christine Wolf on Horses, Records, and Slowing Down

September 22, 2026

Editor Christine Wolf of Picture North enjoys a bit of a double life. (Triple, if you throw in her equine pursuits.) A fixture in the Chicago post production community, she’s been editing commercials and brand content for over two decades, with a long association at Whitehouse Post before landing at Picture North in 2022. But she’s also a rocker, whose band, Exedo, dropped its debut album last year. (You can check out a recent performance here.)

Christine says she’s drawn to projects with profound emotional impact and creative visualization, striving to foster the strongest avenues for narrative, theme, and ideas. When not cutting, jamming or riding, she likes to chill in the outdoors or relax with her husband and her pooch.

With a showreel that includes work for such brands as Disney, Guinness, Ford, TRESemme, Pacifico, and YouTube. And just in time for back to school, there’s a cute, funny and sentimental spot for Build-A-Bear Workshop from Highdive that’ll give you a smile.

The Howler caught up with Christine recently to ask how she spends her Golden Time. Here’s what she had to say.

Where do you live? What do you like best about where you live?Christine Wolf: What I love most about Chicago is the creative community. For nearly two decades, I’ve balanced editing with being in a band, and the DIY music and post production communities have been the anchors that kept me here. They’ve shaped my career, my friendships, and my life.

So how’d you get into post production? And how long have you been in your current role?Christine: I discovered my passion for editing while making my thesis film in art school. I shot hours of interviews, live music, and footage from a pirate radio collective that I was a part of, and I realized that shaping the story in the edit was what I loved most.
