If Vargas was a crypto currency and you’d invested after she launched her first music video you’d be retiring to a private island about now. What we’re trying to say is you’ve probably missed the boat but that’s no reason not to try and get on board now, especially when the view is so IMMACULATE. From her incredibly (dare we say precociously?) accomplished stills portfolio through to her music video work, Vargas is somehow managing to fuse the worlds of high fashion with pop and performance, crafting frame-perfect stylistic and technical masterclasses that likely have Vogue cover photographers quaking in their Dior loafers. Hot on the red-bottom heels of the launch of her internet-breaking, meme-generating icon drop for Lady Gaga’s track Abracadabra, Stephen Whelan spoke with the wave making wunderkind on everyone’s lips and tried not to stan too hard.
